Jewitt McLuckie & Associates is a long-standing Union-side labour law firm located in Canada’s capital with ten professional staff. We are proud to represent a variety of Union clients from both the public and private sector all across Ontario. We also have thriving WSIB, long-term disability and employment law practices.
We are looking to hire a mid-level associate with current experience in Union-side labour law who has been called to the Ontario bar for between 2 and 5 years (2021 and beyond call to the bar). The ability to practise in French is an asset but not required. The position would be for a minimum of one year with the potential for continued employment at the conclusion of that one year.

The successful candidate will be expected to meet with clients and grievors; to represent our clients before various arbitrators, tribunals and in Court; to perform legal research; and to assist in the preparation of complicated cases. We offer a competitive package of pay and benefits commensurate with experience, with a minimum salary for the position of $90,500 plus bonuses (for a 2021 call). Our Westboro office is located next to highway 417 and is a quick commute from downtown Ottawa and surrounds, as well as being close to transit and the restaurants and shops of Richmond Road.
