Samantha Lamb articled and practiced with another union-side labour and employment firm before joining Jewitt McLuckie & Associates in January 2007.
Samantha received her Bachelors in both Common and Civil law, with distinction at McGill University, where she was awarded the Nathan Cotler Memorial Prize in Human Rights Law and the Nancy Park Memorial Prize for Human Rights and Academic Merit. In 2003, Samantha interned with the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan in Lahore, Pakistan. Prior to attending law school, Samantha was a member of BCGEU and worked as a child protection worker for several years in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.
Samantha’s labour practice includes representing the municipal sector, staff in the elementary and secondary school systems and skilled trades people in various construction industries. Samantha’s employment practice includes reviewing employment contracts and wrongful dismissal litigation as well as human rights complaints and independent tribunal work such as CPP, EI and WSIB appeals.
Samantha appears primarily before various Arbitration Boards in both Ottawa and Durham, the Ontario Labour Relations Board and Human Rights Tribunal in Ontario.
Samantha practices in the areas of labour law, human rights law and personal harassment including workplace bullying and civil litigation of wrongful dismissal and long-term disability insurance cases.
